How did your love story begin?

I was a 6th grader when I first laid eyes on the most respectable young man I had ever seen. Too bad, he was in 8th grade and never noticed some "little kid." Who knew that about 80 miles away and 25 years later, his sister, who did remember me from middle school, would find me through mutual acquaintances. She ultimately connected us on social media. We met for tea once and the rest is as they say: history! We are happy to have our own cupid featured in our wedding as the Maid of Honor.

What is your favorite memory you've shared as a couple?

We have a new favorite shared memory! Leaving Los Angeles at midnight to drive across the Golden Gate Bridge by 6:30am is our new best memory. Something about Alex snoring at 3am (thanks copilot) and Octavio marveling at the structure of the bridge by 7am made this one for the books! We shared deep conversations and learned more about each other's personal goals.

What would you do with $20,000?

With $20,000 (is it tax free by the way? kidding!), we would invest in Alex's independent cosmetics company. She started it in 2017 by herself, with no capital. Part of what drew me to Alex was her relentless dedication to making other people look and feel beautiful. I believe in her. So, we would use the money as the first significant non-revenue cash influence for her brand. She has already put in so much personal effort into a brand that people want to see grow and I want to see her grow too.
