We met at a funeral - not exactly a rom-com opening—but that unexpected hello became our greatest love story.

Matt and I met after losing a friend in college. I started monthly dinners at his parents’ house so they’d still have kids around, and that’s where we clicked. We dated briefly, but I wasn’t ready. Years later, he was still obsessed with me, so I agreed to a “situationship”… then to buying a house. My dad, our Realtor, asked, “Are you sure you want to live with her?” Seventeen years, two houses, and five dogs later… he was.
What is your favorite memory you've shared as a couple? One of our favorite memories was after way too many espresso martinis with our friend group. In our infinite wisdom, we decided matching espresso martini tattoos were a fantastic idea. The tattoo shop looked like the kind of place where you question every life decision that brought you there, but somehow we all walked out with matching tattoos… and no hepatitis.
What would you do with $20,000?Easy. We’d put some toward our 40th birthday trip to Europe with our friends. The rest? Let’s be honest, it would probably go to our newest rescue pup, who has already had emergency surgery once and then somehow turned three recovery cones into three more ER visits. At this point, she has her own healthcare budget. We love her… but she’s expensive.
