One random conversation over walkie-talkies on Christmas Day became 25 years, 2 kids, 6 cats, 1 dog… and our forever.
Help us share our love story in Variety, take home $20,000, and go on a triple date with Jeff & Emilie Goldblum and Charlie Day & Mary Elizabeth Ellis!
On Christmas Day 1999, two kids with brand-new walkie-talkies were doing exactly what kids do: seeing who they could reach. Against all odds, we found each other. One conversation turned into a friendship, then a love story, and 25 years later, we’re still talking. Who knew “Can anybody hear me?” would become a lifetime of “Honey, are you listening?”
What is your favorite memory you've shared as a couple? My favorite memory is finally meeting Adam in person on New Year’s Eve after years of talking. What he didn’t know was that our first date came with a surprise: my entire extended family! Instead of running for the nearest exit, he jumped right in, laughed with everyone, and somehow decided we were worth a second date. Twenty-five years later, he’s still here… so I guess we didn’t scare him off after all!
What would you do with $20,000?$20,000 would be life-changing for our family. We’d catch up on bills, build a small emergency fund, and take a big step toward our dream of relocating to New Hampshire. Most importantly, it would buy something money can’t usually buy: a little breathing room and the chance to focus on building our future instead of just trying to stay afloat.
