Connect How did your love story begin?

We first met in our home state of PA at a regional songwriter meeting. We discovered that we lived 5 mins away from each other so we started co-writing & hanging out. After only 4 months of knowing each other, I asked him if he wanted to move to Nashville with me so I could split rent with someone. We became best friends very quickly and went everywhere together! We still do. Falling in love was never part of the plan. We met and began our friendship because of similar interests in music.

What is your favorite memory you've shared as a couple?

There are so many great memories that we have in mind but one of our favorites is when we got our first cat, Pepper. She was sitting outside our apartment complex nearly every day in the snow in January. We noticed how beautiful she was & started giving her food. Eventually we lured her inside and unofficially adopted her. She’s a beautiful Ragamuffin tuxedo cat & we’ve had her for 11 years now!

What would you do with $20,000?

We would try to stretch the $20,000 as much as possible. A chunk of it would be taxed, of course. We would use a good amount of it to put towards his debt, some towards mine, & then maybe put some away for savings or a little cabin getaway. We don’t get to go on vacations very often, so maybe that or a beach trip. Another idea is to put some money towards new furniture and/or a new mattress!
