Connect How did your love story begin?

I started a new job opening one of the first US locations of a London-based coffee company, where he flew over from Scotland to train me and the team. I was the GM, and after a successful opening we all went out to celebrate. I thought he was cute and had one too many drinks, I leaned on him in the elevator, and it turned into daily texts. He came back for another work trip, we became inseparable, and now we're doing everything we can to close the distance and build our future together.

What is your favorite memory you've shared as a couple?

My favorite memory is the day before he left Texas the first time. We went to the botanical gardens, Reunion Tower, and the giant eyeball in Dallas, trying to fit as much time together as we could before his flight. I drove him to the airport, then cried the way home while listening to songs he had shown me. That was when I knew this was more than just a work crush. That first week we spent together was perfect, the first night we talked for 6 hours even though he was tired and we had to work.

What would you do with $20,000?

We'd use the $20,000 to finally help close the distance. It would go towards my UK visa, flights, and moving costs so we can stop missing birthdays, Christmas, anniversaries, and everyday moments together. Winning wouldn't just change our finances, it would help us start the life we've been working towards since we fell in love across an ocean. With being 5000 miles apart, it's difficult to see each other often, especially for major holidays where flights are much more expensive.
