A summer fling turned into a lifetime together. We had known of one another as we ran in similar circles and had always shared a mutual spark. That spark turned into fireworks during a group trip in Temecula in the summer of 2019. David remembers watching Rocky floating in the pool under the night sky; that’s when he was struck down by Cupid’s bolt. We decided to make things ‘official’ during one magical weekend in Joshua Tree. And the rest is history. 

Our first trip to Joshua Tree in 2020 is when we first said ‘I love you’ to one another. We watched every sunrise & sunset and fell in love with the beauty and wonder of the desert. We spent the weekend dancing, drinking spritzes, & storytelling. This led to more JT trips, culminating in one night floating in the hot tub under the stars when David finally said to Rocky, “You know we might spend the rest of our lives together, right?” Rocky felt like floating into the heavens at that moment.

This past fall in Sedona, David and Rocky danced at sunset to their song, ‘Peter Pan’ by Polo & Pan – the same song they first said ‘I love you’ to on that magical night in Joshua Tree – before David got down on one knee. Now, we're returning to Sedona to be married in May 2027. The 20K would go directly toward our wedding, bringing our family and friends together to experience the same magic and wonder of the desert where our love story began.
