I was a freshman at Northern Illinois university. I was feeling lonely, missing family and friends. I looked at the beautiful sunset and said. God if you are really there, make something wonderful happen. That night I met my husband and he saw me for the first time walking with his friend. It was love at first sight as we danced together. He walked me back to the dorm and gave me a gentle kiss. I ran down the halls and shouted “I’m in love“We married in 1968, had 3 children and now 5 grandkids
What is your favorite memory you've shared as a couple?We took a walk on campus on a beautiful spring evening and we heard the song “And I love her.” We danced while looking into each other’s eyes. “The eyes are the window to the soul.”We have now loved each other for over 50 years and still feel that special bond no matter what we face in life. We are truly one and love each other deeply!
What would you do with $20,000?We find happiness in giving especially to others in need. We know how to live on little and on much, having experienced both. We currently give to Doctors without Borders and World Vision. We help our neighbors with surprise gifts when they are in need. We have found that real happiness comes by giving and not by getting the latest so called “toy’
