They say love finds you when you least expect it—and for us, it did. We matched on Facebook Dating, chatted briefly, then Dita left for a 5-week road trip and forgot all about Zack. Exactly 5 weeks later, Zack messaged Dita back which led to a 5-hour first date. We later discovered we went to the same university, had the same major, even lived in the same apartment complex but never met. After years of wrong timing, life, uh, finds a way.
What is your favorite memory you've shared as a couple?We were on our way to a Jurassic Park photo shoot for our upcoming Jurassic Park wedding, dressed as Alan & Ellie in our beloved Jurassic Park Jeep when it randomly broke down on the highway. We’d unknowingly driven 20 miles with the parking brake on—oops. When a cop came to help, he laughed and said, “Well, this is a first!” We didn’t get the epic photos that day, but we got laughter and a story we’ll be telling for the rest of our lives!
What would you do with $20,000?We’re going to use this $20k to fund the build of our second Jurassic Park vehicle, a Ford Explorer named “Ian Malcolm” after Dita’s first-ever celebrity crush when she was 6. We already own a restored ‘92 Jurassic Park Jeep Wrangler named “Allen Grant” honoring both the film character & our friend “Allen” who died too soon. The Explorer build is $17.5K almost exactly this prize. How epic would it be if Dita’s childhood crush essentially gifted us a Jurassic Park car through a contest he hosted?
