Connect How did your love story begin?

I would leave hang out with my best friend and her boyfriend, I was their third wheel of them. One night her boyfriend had forgotten his soccer gear at his place so he had his brother (Zack) come and bring it for him. I told him he should come watch the game with his and he looked at me dead pan “nah I’m tired and I don’t wanna watch him lose a game” and drove off! I was like ugh what a weenie! Fast forward two months later and we met again when we all met up for drinks, and just clicked.

What is your favorite memory you've shared as a couple?

One of my favorite memories is our first vacation to San Diego for the Del Mar Fair. We spent the day eating, drinking, and dreaming up future trips. The highlight was the butterfly house—we stayed in there for over an hour. He let me place butterflies all over him and posed for every photo. It felt magical, especially when two Luna moths landed on us naturally. It was such a sweet, peaceful moment that made me fall even harder for him.

What would you do with $20,000?

We’d use the $20,000 to move to Portland, where we fell even deeper in love during our second big trip together. The city felt like home, and we knew it’s where we wanted to build our future. The money would help cover moving expenses, a place to live, and getting settled as we start this exciting new chapter. It’s more than just a move—it’s a chance to grow together, build a life we love, and turn our shared dreams into reality.
