We were best friends, We drifted away and moved across the country, I thought he was dead, turns out he was alive and we just got engaged!
We would like to thank you for supporting Yazi And Robert in this year's competition. Your participation allows us to aid both the Los Angeles Regional Food Bank and Oceana in their respective missions to support hunger relief and ocean conservation.
It all started with Robert’s roommate stalking me, yes stalking me! But as an apology for his roommates behavior I was invited to their home for a party- We became best friends for years always wondering what if. We grew up, I moved away across the country and back again. Years later on a drunken night with a friend I threw a Hail Mary and sent a message asking if he was still alive and he was! We met up for Mexican food to catch up, ten years later- and have not been apart since.
What is your favorite memory you've shared as a couple? Our favorite memory is the day after we reconnected when we took a drive to a place called Anacortes, we walked on a grey sandy beach and talked about nothing at all- but on the way back we confessed our feelings from ten years ago and in a Subaru decided to be together forever wayyy before actually getting engaged
What would you do with $20,000?We just got engaged but want to buy a home before we can think about planning a wedding, we have saved our entire lives but want to be able to build a solid foundation for our future family, sacrificing even a big wedding to make sure we have a safe place to always come back to.
