Connect How did your love story begin?

I remember the first time Xavier walked into the restaurant we worked at. We began hanging out almost immediately. Going on a series of "dates"- I didn't realize at the time were dates- late night drinks, restaurant week in DC, going out in Chinatown & from there friendship blossomed into relationship. One night after a date, he gave me a key to his apartment, that he had personalized for me, to show where he was & where he wanted our love to go. A thoughtful gesture that began our journey.

What is your favorite memory you've shared as a couple?

Xavier pulling off a surprise proposal in EPCOT at Disney. It was so unexpected. Romantic. Thoughtful. I was shocked! He had our friends and the photographer in on it, who tricked me to the proposal spot. We got to have a photoshoot immediately after just him & I. Disney has become our special place. We enjoyed a beautiful dinner with views of fireworks & ukulele music to end the night. Magical ✨

What would you do with $20,000?

We have big dreams; Xavier wants to continue his educational journey, I'd love to get my baking business off the ground & all the while spend our days doing what we love together-with our two dogs & future kids! Ultimately, like many lovebirds, we want to fulfill our dreams without working so much we never see each other. Life is short, there's so much to see and do, that's exactly what this money would help us accomplish!
