Our love story began many times. We met at SUNY New Paltz 10 years ago and started as friends—me, the loud, smiling one; him, the quiet listener. One night at a party, I saw Chris singing Panic! at the Disco like no one was watching, and everything changed. From then on, we kept falling for each other, again and again, with every new thing we learned. Our love grew from friendship into something deep, steady, and full of joy.
What is your favorite memory you've shared as a couple? We’ve shared many memories, but the one that stands out is when Chris proposed in Kyoto, Japan—I was focused on tickets for the next day, unaware of what was coming. With my eyes closed in a bow, I opened them to see him on one knee, proposing in Japanese. I said yes through happy tears, and we held each other as cherry blossoms gently surrounded us, making the moment feel like it was ours alone.
What would you do with $20,000?We’ve been together for 10 years, and with $20,000, I’d marry my best friend in a way that reflects the love we’ve built. After a decade of memories, this gift would help us create a celebration full of joy, meaning, and the people who’ve supported us. It would make our special day truly unforgettable—not just for us, but for everyone who’s been part of our journey.
