Best friends in grad school turned into a healthy, loving relationship 2 weeks after graduation. 6 years officially together now!
We would like to thank you for supporting Will and Rebecca in this year's competition. Your participation allows us to aid both the Los Angeles Regional Food Bank and Oceana in their respective missions to support hunger relief and ocean conservation.
Will and I officially met our first day of orientation in grad school. We bonded during the "fun fact" game where we realized we had unofficially met briefly, months prior in a different city, at the opening of a bar. We were instant friends and spent every class side by side learning and laughing, none the wiser of how our friendship would grow. Two weeks after graduation, we shared a drunken kiss, and very quickly realized we had fallen in love. Now we are married!
What is your favorite memory you've shared as a couple? Our favorite earliest memory is our first trip together after our first kiss, when we were navigating if a friendship could be more. We drove to Baltimore for a day trip and Will actually completely lost his voice. I spent the day doing the bulk of the talking, but even without his voice, we were able to communicate so well. Even in the moments of silence, we were able to have so much fun walking and eating and site seeing. We held hands the whole 5 hour trip home.
What would you do with $20,000?We would love to use $20,000 for a down payment on a house! We are currently living in a small townhouse, and keep talking about how lovely it would be to have a home with more space to be able to grow our family and to be closer to our office (we run a mental health therapy practice together in a different town).
