We’ve been through a lot in our 10 years together. We battled cancer, lost a brother, and still make each other a priority every day.
You decide who wins $20,000 and appears in Variety magazine as America’s Favorite Couple
We met at 18 and to be honest… we did not like each other. At all. We had a lot of growing up to do and mistakes to make. Fast forward to 21 and we ran into each other at a bar. After a bit of awkward small talk (Laurel's line was "so you're from the midwest too?") the conversation moved to something deeper. Ever since that night we've been a little obsessed with each other and won't shut up about it.
What is your favorite memory you've shared as a couple? Our first date after finding out Wil was cancer-free. We went to The Met Cloisters and just wondered at the medieval art. It felt like we were stepping into a new chapter, one we didn't know if we’d get to write. We talked about everything from the life we wanted to build to making slightly inappropriate jokes about some of the art work.
What would you do with $20,000?Because of Wil’s testicular cancer treatments it will be more complicated for us to get pregnant. We would put the money toward fertility treatments; something we’ve been dreaming about (and saving for) for a long time. We’ve faced a lot together: cancer, grief, loss… and through it all, we’ve always held onto the hope of growing our family. This would be a chance to turn that hope into a reality! We’d be so grateful and we’d definitely send baby pics. Probably too many.
