We have been together for 42 years, married for 33 years. We encourage other couples despite obstacles, to be committed in their marriage.

Our journey began when he was taking down the flag at the fire station. (He was a fire fighter) I was washing my car at my cousins house and told him “there is a fire over here.” He came over to me and we made a date.
What is your favorite memory you've shared as a couple?My favorite memory as a couple was our wedding day. We were not in a financial position to do an elaborate wedding. We had a church wedding, I made all the bouquets (10 bridesmaids) and the decorations. The reception was downstairs in the church. I cooked all the food and donated the leftovers to a homeless shelter. Best day ever!!
What would you do with $20,000?We would help our children and grandchildren with some of their debt.
