It was chaos in the beginning, but from the ashes we built the best little family with him, his daughter, myself and 3 cool cats!

He interviewed me for a job. Things were slow & we had time to get to know each other. He swore off dating until two separate court with his ex-girlfriend were final. NOT a normal break up. Even knowing that I couldn’t stay away that long and agreed to take on the stress of dating someone with a child brings and MUCH MORE. Intense, but I knew he and his daughter were worth it. We said “I love you” after 3 weeks. We were talking marriage after 2 months. When you know, you know! I get that now.
What is your favorite memory you've shared as a couple?Our engagement. His daughter was eight at the time and called me beforehand whispering that the surprise was today. When I got there we had a lovely dinner. She took over and handed me the ring box as my now husband said that “they would both love if I would do them the honor of making our family official” I tear up every time I think about it.
What would you do with $20,000?We got married at the courthouse on a Tuesday at noon, went through the Chick-fil-A drive-through and were both at work by 1 o’clock, so $20,000 would pay for a dream destination vow renewal ceremony/vacation for the three of us and our families! I really feel I missed out being 40 and never having that bridal experience. I truly believe every woman deserves that.
