I had been dating for eight years and was trying to do it on my own. In July 2010, I asked the Lord to send me a man that would pray with me, read the Bible with me, and make him cute! On his end, he saw a heart on the computer and clicked on it and it was match.com. He said that was the best $25 he ever spent.We met two weeks after my prayer. We have been together ever since.
What is your favorite memory you've shared as a couple?We were walking along the shore of Lake Erie and Vince wanted me to pick out a smooth stone so that I could paint a picture of the lighthouse on it. I found one partially hidden in the sand. I carried that stone down the beach as we walked. On our way back, we sat on a big rock and I looked at the stone and I asked him, “When did you have time to write on this?” he said he didn’t write on it. But etched in the stone were the words “Live each day as though it were your last.”
What would you do with $20,000?First, I would give my 10% to charity. Then, I would give some to my twin grandchildren. We haven’t been able to travel, so maybe a trip somewhere. I’m in need of a new car, and our church floor needs to be replaced.
