We met in September 2009 through eHarmony when Alex was still in the Marines and deployed in Okinawa and Val was working at a resort as the lodge chef in Bhutan. We hit it off chatting immediately and took things to Skype. We talked any day we could, often for hours at a time. In December we met in person in Germany, where Val is originally from. Alex met extended family there over the next 10 days. On day 6 he called his mom and told her he’d met his future wife.
What would you do with $20,000?We love camping and roadtripping, especially to see the National Parks and Forests. We‘ve already done several longe roadtrips, but we want to see absolutely everything. We would use $20k to upgrade our camping gear, donate to the NPS, and pay to have some of our friends and family join us on a trip up and down the US West Coast.
