We just marked 44 years for us. In 1979, we met in community theatre in "Camelot", playing Lancelot & Guinevere. Respect is key.
You decide who wins $20,000 and appears in Variety magazine as America’s Favorite Couple
We met in 1979 while performing in a dinner show production of CAMELOT , playing Lancelot & Guinevere. After 44 years of marriage we truly believe our "showmance" story has evolved into a relationship where no one is either wrong or right. Our respect for each other has weathered us through infertility, adoption, breast cancer, a heart attack, etc. Our infertility led us to the most treasured gift of all - our adopted daughter Carly from S. Korea, now 39, and our granddaughter, Eva, now 11.
What is your favorite memory you've shared as a couple? While rehearsing in the show that we met, CAMELOT, there was a "kissing scene" with Lancelot (Stu) and Guinevere (Val). During all of the rehearsals, when we came to that special scene, we avoided actually kissing. Come opening night, with an audience, we again reached the kissing scene. Well, Stu really "laid one on me" and I was astonished that my soul and whole being seemed to send me to the pinnacle of emotions. We would have many kisses to come - just from that one special kiss.
What would you do with $20,000?I've been retired 10 years now. My husband is still working at 73. He would love to retire soon, but finances don't warrant it just yet. It would go a long way to have him retire sooner than later.
