How did your love story begin?

My stepdad was friends with Tyler’s brother and my mom thought we would be perfect for each other. The moment I graduated in 2016, my mom made me talk to him. We became best friends after we realized how much we both enjoyed Marvel. Our first date that consisted of grocery shopping for Tyler’s house and eating pancakes at an IHop. It wasn’t glamorous or fancy but it was so normal that I immediately saw a future with him. We finally had our first kiss a few days later and the rest is history.

What is your favorite memory you've shared as a couple?

One memory that sticks out is the night we saw Across the Spiderverse. We were down to our last $40 and we decided to splurge and go see it. We put a little gas in the car and drove an hour away to see the movie. After the movie, we used the last of our money to get us McDonald’s before driving home. The entire way there and back was full of laughter and talking about our future. It was one of our cheapest dates and it remains one of our favorites to this day.

What would you do with $20,000?

We would finally get to go on our honeymoon. When we got married, it was the one day it wanted to rain, sleet, and snow in Arkansas and we never got to go do anything but stay the night in a hotel. We’ve been married for six years and we still haven’t been able to have go on a honeymoon. I guess that’s why we’re still in the honeymoon stage!
