Connect How did your love story begin?

We met in the middle of our mess! Troy was in his addiction and I was in a toxic place in life. We started out as friends, but wanted more. We helped each other heal, grow, and break serious generational cycles. Now we have 3 amazing kids, a heart-led business helping others with addiction and mental health struggles. We have a love built on laughter, self reflected growth, and understanding. It hasn’t always been easy, but it’s always worth it. We wouldn’t trade this life for anything!

What is your favorite memory you've shared as a couple?

It’s nearly impossible to pick one! If we have to choose, one of our favorite memories is when we renewed our vows in Jamaica for our 10 year anniversary with our two youngest kids. The Caribbean is our favorite place and it was incredible to share the moment of recommitment and celebration with them. We had so much fun together and created core memories for all of us on that trip.

What would you do with $20,000?

If we win, we’d put most of it into growing our business that helps families facing addiction, trauma, and mental health struggles. We want to reach more people and expand our impact in a big way! And of course, we’d use some of it for a family Beaches resort vacation, because that’s our love language. Next stop- Turks and Caicos (aka “Turkey Tacos”). 🌴☀️😂 We don’t require fancy cars and clothes, but we do need the Caribbean sand!
