We met in high school. On the first day of my freshman year, I was supposed to go to honors Geometry class, but my schedule changed and moved me to a sophomore level Geometry class. Coach Proctor had open seating, so I sat at the desk nearest the door and Travis set next to me. We began our friendship from me helping with his homework and he would share his ear bud so we could both listen to music during class. We soon found that we had a lot of common interests and goals in life.

We had an at-home water birth with our third daughter. It was a special and precious memory that we share. Trav and I woke up around 1:15AM and I knew I was in labor. He set up the birthing pool, filled it with warm water, and got all the after-care supplies staged. He called our midwife and then sat with me in the pool as we awaited the arrival of our third baby. Looking into his eyes and knowing my person was there to support me through a moving moment was everything needed in that moment.

We would use the $20,000 to pay for medical school. Travis is pursuing a higher education in the medical field, and will likely need to transition to being a full-time student. This will cut our annual income by half, so having the ability to either pay for tuition or have an emergency fund would make his pursuit and goal more obtainable.
