Connect How did your love story begin?

We met in high school. We were best friends. I wasn’t really dating at the time and he was in rotc. Although I had a huge crush on him, I ended up moving away to another school my senior year. 10 years later we met up again after he came home, he was stationed in Japan (he’s a marine) he contacted me and from that day, we spent the next 8 months together everyday. Getting to know one another again. Sharing stories about how much our loves had changed. And overtime our friendship grew into love.

What is your favorite memory you've shared as a couple?

For our 3rd year anniversary. He took me on a private plane ride across the bay during sunset. We saw all of San Francisco, Oakland, the Golden Gate Bridge, and even Alcatraz. It was truly the most beautiful experience we both shared together. We talk about it often and can’t wait to do it again.

What would you do with $20,000?

We’d get married and finally start a family. We have our home in order. We both have our vehicles. And we both have worked hard in our career field. It’s just difficult and overwhelming to cover of all the wedding expenses while surviving the struggles of life day to day. But ultimately, whatever happens, happens, I know he’s mine and I’m his. I know he’d go to the ends of the earth for me, and I’m honored to do the same.
