We met for the very first time at Tiffy’s Ice Cream Parlor at Disneyland. Our eyes locked upon each other as our ice cream was being served. We just couldn’t stop talking. “Parting is such great sorrow”, especially when we noticed that neither of us touched our ice cream. Truly, it was love at first sight and 9 months later we were married! Being Greek & Italian we visited these countries which enhanced our lives through experiencing our heritage that created the great couple we are today

Without a doubt, the unimaginable Rain Forests and The Peace Lodge of Costa Rica took our breaths away! From our veranda we could view the lush forests, waterfalls, wildlife filled with giant multi-colored hummingbirds that constantly flew in and out to the provided bird feeders and to top it all, a private Hot Tub with bottle of Caymus Cabernet. At the Avery, we had the rare opportunity to hand feed the Toucans while they were perched on our shoulders. Dreams do come true!

When my husband, a combat Vet, was in Vietnam in 1966 he witnessed real hunger and the children with their hands out to GI's for candy bars or anything edible, which is something that he has never been able to forget. We have discussed many times visiting Vietnam, so if we should be lucky enough to win the $20,000, we would now like to visit Vietnam, especially areas outside of major cities where we can find poverty and maybe, just maybe, make a difference to a few.
