Tojo was in the Marines and had been called to deploy to Iraq. I instantly became a war bride and we were married 2 days later. We had only known each other for 3 months and 9 days and have been deeply in love ever since. Our marriage has been a fairytale of complete love & devotion and after 34 years we are still madly in love! We have 4 beautiful children, 3 boys and 1 girl who has given us 2 beautiful granddaughters. We are so blessed and we’re very proud of our family.
What is your favorite memory you've shared as a couple?Because we were married so quickly and couldn’t put together a big wedding and honeymoon, we decided to have a renewal on our 10th anniversary. It was absolutely wonderful because we got to share it with our children. My husband wore his Dress Blues and we had all of our family and friends there and we celebrated and danced way into the night. It’s a memory we will never forget and will cherish forever!
What would you do with $20,000?We would pay off a few things and then probably go on a trip. We got married so fast that we never got to go on a honeymoon. We’ve always talked about it but life and raising children was always more important. So I think we would do that. We wanted to go to Hawaii so that’s probably where we would go to finally have a wonderful honeymoon!
