We met at church softball. I didn't know anything about him but I heard a little voice tell me he was the man I was going to marry so I ran with it! I found out his address and had a friend show me how to break my car down without it being broken. I then drove about a 1/4 block from his house and "broke" my car down. I knocked on his door and acted surprised that he answered the door. He drove me to work and "fixed" my car, then picked me up. The conversations started from there!
What is your favorite memory you've shared as a couple?I don't know that I have a favorite memory-we've been married 40 years in August (on his birthday and mine is two days later). There have been some awful times (the death of our first child) and we have been through some amazing times. We still live in the same house we did when we said "I do" and raised two fabulous kids there. We've gotten to travel a little but we've gotten to do all of it side-by-side. We don't have much but we have our kids and each other-life doesn't get better than that.
What would you do with $20,000?Nothing extravagant - our bathroom needs updating, and we need new floors. After that, we'd love a family vacation to England and Scotland. We would also pay some bills if any was left.
