We are almost at 35 years of being married this October. During the pandemic, I was diagnosed of kidney cancer. He was my best supporter.
You decide who wins $20,000 and appears in Variety magazine as America’s Favorite Couple
We started with long distance calling back and forth in 1989. No cell phones, no internet. I had a calling phone card that I would load up money to use. We met through my mom, who thought we can just be friends. He just had a break up then. The more and more we talked, the more interested we both were to meet. He was in nursing school, so he was very busy working at the hospital and going to school, but he found time to drive to NJ from Ohio to meet me.
What is your favorite memory you've shared as a couple? As a couple, our favorite memory was when we decided to drive to Canada impulsively and only were there for a couple hours. We drove from NJ. By the time we arrived back, morning sun just came.
What would you do with $20,000?The most obvious would be to pay off any bills, but the rest would be to be saved for trips, hopefully a cruise that has been put off many times for five years, because of the pandemic. We will be married for 35 years in October. Maybe fly to Scotland, where my daughter moved permanently.
