Connect How did your love story begin?

Our love story began in the hallways of Seven Lakes High School at the age of 15. Braxton was the new kid at school, and we were introduced by a mutual friend. Although we were young, we had tremendous love for one another. We shared every free moment together and made a commitment shortly before our Homecoming dance. Our love story continued through college at North Carolina A&T and into our adult years as working professionals. We are now 3 years married with a continuous growing love.

What is your favorite memory you've shared as a couple?

A favorite memory we've shared as a couple was displaying on social media how we spend quality time together through food. This has led to viral moments of Braxton serving dinner as an employee at some of our favorite food franchises, such as Chipotle, Chick-Fil-A, and Cold Stone. Many followers left comments about how adorable, wholesome, and inspiring our videos are. We loved receiving this feedback and having the opportunity to have a positive impression with so many people.

What would you do with $20,000?

We are extremely grateful for the opportunity to be considered for this distinguished recognition. If fortunate, we would use the money to assist with any uncovered medical expenses and provide funding towards our aspirations of becoming instrumental entrepreneurs within the community by opening a daycare to assist parents with high quality child care. Lastly we would love to continue expanding our college scholarship program for deserving students through our non-profit TableView.
