When we said "for better or worse," we meant it. Mark has survived a massive brain aneurysm & Lisa, a rare form of breast cancer & MS.
You decide who wins $20,000 and appears in Variety magazine as America’s Favorite Couple
We are high school sweethearts. We attended the same school, but we didn't know each other. Then, one summer, he caught my eye on the Ocean City, MD boardwalk (the town where we now live), and a friend introduced us. It turned into a love story like no other. Then, about three years later, we took a break. Fast forward five years, and we ran into each other and fell back in love. We've now been married 37 years, had three kids, and faced so many obstacles but stood by each other the whole time.
What is your favorite memory you've shared as a couple? So many. My husband makes me belly laugh everyday. So I would say dancing in our kitchen. And the births of all three of our children.
What would you do with $20,000?As much as we would love to say take a much-needed vacation, we have a mountain of medical bills from Mark's anneurysm and Lisa's cancer treatments to pay off. We also need to repair our bathroom to eliminate lingering mold that could further compromise Lisa's immune system.
