How did your love story begin?

My husband immigrated to the US when he was 18. I was 19 and home visiting my small town while on break from college at UGA. We went to our usual Friday night Mexican food spot, and when I saw the new “chip guy” I was intrigued. I spoke to him in broken Spanish, but as a new immigrant he was happy to speak with someone in his primary language. He asked for my number, but I was so caught off guard that I told him I wouldn’t write it down for him, but he had to listen and remember it! So harsh!

What is your favorite memory you've shared as a couple?

We lived together in Los Angeles for 4 years after getting married, but then we decided to move back to my hometown in Georgia to be closer to family since we finally had our 1 year old son. We strapped that 10 month old into our car and DROVE all the way across the United States sight seeing, staying in hotels, blasting music. It was such a sweet memory as we transitioned into a new phase of our life together.

What would you do with $20,000?

Probably use it for a special trip for our 10th wedding anniversary—it’s a big one this year, and it’s been our dream to see Italy and Greece.
