At first, she wasn’t interested—she just wanted to be friends, so friends we became. I was persistent (and maybe a little desperate for affection). One day, we got pizza and I said, “This pizza deserves a hug.” She reluctantly gave me one, and it turned into a total cringe fest. Despite my awkward way with women, somehow we ended up getting married a few months later.
What is your favorite memory you've shared as a couple?Our favorite memory is our most recent—November 11, 2024, at 8:11 p.m., when our daughter Autumn was born. It’s a miracle she’s even here. We nearly lost her during pregnancy, and we waited 17 years of infertility for this memory. Now, we can’t even remember what life was like before she came into our world.
What would you do with $20,000?We want to create a better home for our family—catch up on our mortgage, fix our front and back decks, and set some aside for Autumn’s future. We’d also love to take a much-needed family vacation and explore a national forest together, making memories while hiking and enjoying nature as a family.
