On June 11, 2005 he walked up to me and changed my life. I was 18, he was 22. I still remember the sun coming through the church windows and the way the crowd parted just so he could say “hi I was hit by a truck” I replied with “hi, I’ve been zapped by lightning”. Then after the church service he asked for a business card for his own church only to tell me that I forgot to put my number on the back. That adorable crooked grin won him my number. We didn’t even share our names.
What is your favorite memory you've shared as a couple?There’s no way to choose. When he proposed, when we woke up as husband and wife, the births of our two miracles, every laugh, every fight we made up. I have felt loved, respected, and appreciated for 20 years.
