We met, as many couples do, on a dating app. But neither of us expected it to turn into anything serious, as we were both coming out of toxic relationships. However, casual bar dates quickly turned into making soup together and visiting apple orchards. It was terrifying in a way, how quickly it spiraled into domestic living, but we had finally found the safety, warmth, and care we were seeking in past relationships in each other.
What is your favorite memory you've shared as a couple?Our first vacation, in which we naively decided to book a cabin in the woods…in the middle of winter. There was no heat, electricity, or running water and roosters crowed from 4am onward. What should’ve been a nightmare was still a romantic getaway, using each other as a means to get warm and being forced into wonderful conversation due to a lack of television or phone chargers.
What would you do with $20,000?Unfortunately we’ve come into financial hardship - social workers don’t get paid nearly enough, and neither do those working in retail. $20,000 would be life changing, allowing us to pay down debt and help us save up for the wedding we are eagerly awaiting to plan but don’t have the funds to.
