It all began with a play. Keifer was performing in “The Complete Works of William Shakespeare Abridged” in college and Jennifer was in the audience. The play involves audience participation and Keifer knew who he was going to choose when he noticed the “cute blonde girl” in the audience. He chose Jennifer, she participated, and thought “this guy is amazing”! Keifer still says picking Jennifer out of that crowd is the best thing he ever did.

Our 15 year old dog, Noel, was in heart failure and had cancer so we knew she didn’t have much time left. We wanted her to have a wonderful birthday so first we went to a pet boutique to pick out a toy. She picked a new toy and then we went to Laguna Beach. We walked on the beach, gave her a “cake” made from the food she could eat, and we all wore party hats. She had a smile on her face all day and when she crossed the rainbow bridge 2 weeks later, we knew we would always remember that day.

Part of it would go to the Seattle Humane Shelter! We love to support them as much as we can because they do such wonderful work to take care of and find homes for animals in need. The other part would go towards saving to buy a house in Seattle. We have rented for years and want to settle down in the city that has stolen our hearts!
