Connect How did your love story begin?

Our love story began in 2014 when I (Eli) was a freshman in high school. Wes was a senior at the same high school. I only admired him from afar as I looked like a prepubescent teenager still and he looked like some gorgeous model who played electric guitar. As years went on, he graduated and I had forgotten all about him. Our paths crossed again in 2020 and from then on, we never stopped talking. Although he is still considered to be the model between us, I’d say together, we’re pretty cute!

What is your favorite memory you've shared as a couple?

There are so many to choose from! We would have to agree that our favorite memory so far has been celebrating our one year anniversary with my parents… Just wait. My (Eli) parents are my best friends and they got married 26 years, ago 2 days before our date. We feel so blessed to be able to celebrate life together with them as our besties. We went to our favorite spot in DT Geneva, IL. Our other favorite memory would be when we picked up our son (dog) Gus! He is the sweetest addition to our fam.

What would you do with $20,000?

If we won the 20k, we would definitely want to celebrate a bit, but to be honest, a big part of it would go toward paying off some of our debt. It’s not an exciting answer, but it’s a huge step toward building the future we want together. Not to mention infinite dog toys and peanut butter for Gussy😍
