How did your love story begin?

She was one of my 6 sister’s friends. I had known her since she was in the 5th grade. I am 5 years older. I never paid much attention to her she was just another girl that came over to visit my sisters. I joined the Army right after high school. When I was home I saw her standing in the kitchen. The light shining on her made it look like she was glowing. I knew at that moment she was the one! I asked her out and she said yes. I found out later she said yes because I was my sister’s brother.

What is your favorite memory you've shared as a couple?

The night of our first date she had forgotten about it. So she had to rush to get ready as we were going to a movie. I don’t remember the movie but I remember the goodnight kiss! It blew my socks off that was on 7/7/77 and we have been together since.

What would you do with $20,000?

I would like to say take a nice vacation or get a new car but we would use it for medical bills. She has a medication that she needs once a month that cost over $7,000 insurance helps but doesn’t cover everything.
