How did your love story begin?

We met right before the pandemic, and that summer ended up being the most beautiful and challenging of both of our lives. When the world shut down we ended up both needing a little help financially and decided to move in together, although it was risky because we had only been together a few months. we were pushed even further because with my mom’s passing all my young siblings needed a place to go and when she said yes, without hesitation, I knew I found my forever person.

What is your favorite memory you've shared as a couple?

When we took a quick honeymoon in Hawaii for a short week. We got to experience the simplicity of sharing each other’s company exclusively. Due to us adopting my three siblings so quick in our relationship we never got a chance to just be the two of us. This trip finally gave us that opportunity to see the beauty and not only the world with each other. This reinforced every vow and moment we have shared.

What would you do with $20,000?

Honestly, we’ve been handed a really rough deck of cards and although we’ve always come out on the stronger side, we initially chopped off the possibility of having our own kids because of having to take on the responsibility of my young sibling so quickly. We have finally gotten the hang of this whole parenting thing and I think we’re ready to bite off more although 20,000 would be the tip of an iceberg of parenting. It would give us the space to start adopting a young child of our own.
