It was the last week of freshman year, and I was looking for a free seat to eat lunch. I walked around once then twice with no luck. I was resigned to just walk back to my dorm room when I suddenly saw an empty table- right next to him. I could see his backpack as I sat, and it was covered in pop culture and fandom buttons. So many of my interests were present, that I immediately smiled and said, “I like your buttons!” That was the start of our friendship that quickly blossomed into our romance.
What is your favorite memory you've shared as a couple?Our favorite memory would be running through the streets of Tokyo after a long day at Tokyo Disney Sea. We thought it would be too late to make it to a special seafood donburi place for dinner, and it was at the top of Matt’s list. He was already bummed, but we managed to run fast enough to make it there before the line capped. We were one of the last five people allowed in. It ended up being the best food we ate all trip, and completely changed the day.
What would you do with $20,000?We recently purchased our very first home and have been settling in. We currently just have one car and some of my student loans left. $20,000 would be enough to put down for a second car, pay off one of my loans, and start to rebuild our savings.
