Connect How did your love story begin?

We met on Bumble, moved in after one date, then the world shut down. Quarantine bonded us—we adopted a cat, then a puppy. Eight months later, he proposed in Lake Tahoe. We married before his deployment and started trying to conceive in 2022. After 2 IUIs, IVF abroad, and two miscarriages, we’ve walked through heartbreak hand in hand. Through every storm, our love has only deepened. It’s tender, tested, and unwavering.

What is your favorite memory you've shared as a couple?

Our favorite memory is our first IVF transfer in Barbados. We were filled with hope, believing we were about to become parents. That trip was our pause—one last adventure, just us. Each sunset wrapped us in a calm reassurance that no matter what, everything would work out—even if not how we imagined. We laughed, dreamed, and held onto each other, knowing love would carry us through whatever came next.

What would you do with $20,000?

We would use the $20,000 to pursue another round of IVF here in the U.S. With unexplained infertility, IVF gives us our best chance—raising our odds from 3% to 70%. We’ve already started collecting items for a nursery, holding onto hope with every step. This gift wouldn’t just fund a procedure—it would bring us closer to the child we’ve dreamed of and to finally completing the family we’ve been waiting for.
