We were just two 90's kids, figuring out single parent life and too afraid to give love another chance when the universe brought us together. We were ready for something real, a family our children could feel loved and cared about in and someone to make us feel safe. The first year was full of video chats and 2 way- 5 hour road trips to see each other. It was a slow simple love that left no space for doubts. A love story that made every day a love song even the birds sing.

We can both agree our favorite memory is going to the botanical gardens and getting caught in a wild rain storm. We sat there watching the rain bring life to the flowers, in its beautiful gloom. A bird peeking it's head not far from us made us both kind laugh and smile. It all felt so simple and magical. As easy as love stories on tv make you believe love can be. As meant as anything was ever meant to be.

We have a blended family with 4 kids in the home. Our home is a small and very modest 1950s ranch. We are simple people. A second bathroom and some minor updates to our little home would help our family so much, especially with a teenager and tween in the house.
