Connect How did your love story begin?

Abbey was traveling for work from Ohio to Atlanta every week. She met Terry when he was living in Atlanta and decided to make long distance work through strong communication for years. Covid hit and he made the sacrifice to pack up and move to Ohio...a huge change for him. But, our family, friends and amazing support network helped him fall in love with Ohio! We make sure we travel "home" for his family to Louisiana as often as we can.

What is your favorite memory you've shared as a couple?

So many memories come to mind, but we always laugh when we think about our wedding and honeymoon. We thought we were being fancy and cultured by booking a chocolate and rum tasting... at 9 a.m. Abbey doesn’t even like rum, so she politely nibbled on chocolate while Terry, trying not to offend anyone, took all 10 rum shots like a champ. What he didn’t know was that I had a surprise speed boat excursion booked just a few hours later. Let’s just say: ten shots of rum + a bouncing speed boat.

What would you do with $20,000?

While we always remain grateful and positive, we've recently had a streak of bad luck. We were involved in two car accidents and now need to replace both vehicles. If we win, we’d use part of the prize to get back on the road safely—and we’d also finally throw a celebration for our family and friends who weren’t able to be part of our wedding day!
