We met at a restaurant we both worked in. I was a server, he was a line cook. A cliché, almost forbidden romance but true. We became good friends before anything romantic ever happened, but there was some flirting going on. We shared many interests including a love of dinosaurs that would eventually be reflected in our wedding theme. We had been (amicably) broken up for a time when David was involved in a near fatal hit and run. This would eventually bring us back together stronger than ever.
What is your favorite memory you've shared as a couple?We’ve accumulated so many memories over the decade we’ve been together (road trips, concerts, a cruise, Renaissance fair, etc), but recently I would say our wedding back in September. It meant so much to us to share our quirky love with our friends and families and our dinosaur flower girl, and it was an unforgettable time.
What would you do with $20,000?We would use a portion of it to finally go on our dream honeymoon, which is a trip to Japan. Our honeymoon fund has been slowly picked at and has become more of a savings fund. The rest would go to wipe out some debt and probably prepay our rent for the next several months to lighten our financial burdens for a time.
