My daughter gave me the "old double dog dare" challenge and I accepted! How could I not? I was against online dating. Since I accepted the challenge, she helped me create a profile on Farmers Only. While I was sleeping, she liked profiles that I would not have chosen. Then I came across the most handsome Appaloosa...& Pat was next to him. We met in person & immediately hit it off. That was 11 years ago & we were married in a barn in Virginia a year later. Our commercial aired for two years.
What is your favorite memory you've shared as a couple?As we were standing in front of the preacher to be married, my soon to be husband gestured to me and I stepped back. My daughter was my bridesmaid and I gently nudged her towards Pat. He offered her a ring and asked her to be his forever daughter. After she accepted through a tearful "yes"& "now I have a father," Pat & I were married. There wasn't a dry eye in the barn at that moment. It was the best day of our lives.
What would you do with $20,000?We have been so blessed with each other, our family and our many friends who have become our family, we would like to help others. We live in like a studio apartment on a small farm and it would be nice to have our own bedroom so we can have friends and family over, yet our own private bedroom. Thank you for letting us share our love story!
