I was working as a Toll Collector on 294 North in Chicago. My future husband was an OTR truck driver working for Georgia Pacific in Chicago. He used to drive through my Plaza. After one year of seeing him regularly, I gave him my phone number. After 2 months he finally called me. After 3 months of phone chats we went on our first date. We have been together ever since.
What is your favorite memory you've shared as a couple?When Ray and I planned our first date, I was supposed to meet him at a bar on the Southside of Chicago. I waited for 2 hours outside of the bar for him. He failed to tell me you had to buzz to enter the bar. When I was just about to give up and go home he showed up. We have been together ever since. We laugh about it now.
