Connect How did your love story begin?

Jake and I first met at a local country bar in Colorado. I was living in Florida at the time and was in town visiting my sister. My friend Shannon and I were playing a game of pool when a guy we met the week prior walked in with a handsome blonde (Jake). Jake told his friend that I was the most beautiful girl he’d ever seen, and his friend said “I know that girl!”. Jake told him “no way!” and as the guys walked up, we said hi and invited them to join us for a quick game. The rest is history!

What is your favorite memory you've shared as a couple?

Around 2 weeks before we met I (Darienne) prayed that I would meet my husband in person, that he would know when he laid eyes on me that I am the one for him/love at first sight. Within the first two weeks of us meeting he shared his heart with me and told me all of my prayers word for word back to me (without knowing). We quickly learned that we share the same beliefs/values, and wanted to do life together! We did long distance for a year and created amazing memories along the way.

What would you do with $20,000?

We are so excited to start a family together. We would love the opportunity to use the $20,000 to invest and save for when we have children. We are currently trying to get pregnant and this would help us greatly to cover medical expenses for hospital bills as well as setting some money aside for our children’s future.
