Connect How did your love story begin?

We met 15 years ago at a college bar over a fierce game of flip cup. Allan lost interest when he learned I had a boyfriend, but thankfully his friend, Corey, didn’t care. Eventually, my ex was out, Allan was in, and he won me over by singing early 2000s hits on his frat bunk bed. We bonded over sarcasm, laughter, and just enough chaos to keep it interesting. Every day gets better and better!

What is your favorite memory you've shared as a couple?

Every New Year’s Day, we make a fancy dinner and scroll through our phone photos to reflect. We call it our “Year in Review.” In 2022, I hit “Live Photo” on a sweet pic of Allan and our dog, Ziggy. I was rewarded with the loudest, most majestic belch in recorded history. We laughed until we cried! That’s a moment we will never forget.

What would you do with $20,000?

We would use every penny to start our family. After three years of trying and a year of fertility treatments so far, we’re still waiting for our miracle. This journey is brutal and no amount of hard work can force it. But…we keep going, leaning on love and laughs. One day, we’ll tell our child how hard we fought for them and how we never gave up.
