We met in college through mutual friends. We both were studying at Baruch college in NYC and getting our degrees in finance. During freshmen year, Vivak would huddle his friends around and point the girl he had a crush on (me) around campus. Fast forward a few years, we ended up at the same party and added each other and started exchanging instagram DMs. We went on our first date in October 2018, he asked me to be his girlfriend in December 2018 and we have talked everyday since!

Our favorite memory that we've shared together has to be our wedding! We had a 4 day big fat Indian wedding and had the most precious, wholesome and fun time together. We shared so many smiles, dances and planned for our future ahead. It felt great to have our closest friends and families who got together and came together to celebrate us. Having that sense of community and celebration really helped us heal from everything we've gone through and it showed us that brighter days are ahead.

In June of 2023, my mother was diagnosed with a rare form of cancer. 6 months later, Vivak's father was also diagnosed. 2023 was a very tough year for us and although we've gotten engaged and married since, we are still struggling through the distressing emotional roller coaster with our families. We'd like to use a portion of the rewards to help with our parent's treatments and take go on vacation together so we can all destress from everything we've gone through in the past 2 years.
