We met in high school, through theatre. Cymone (14) was assigned as the makeup artist for Sean (15), and the very first moment we met, we felt like something cosmic was happening. We became best friends and our friendship remains the solid foundation of our whole relationship.
What is your favorite memory you've shared as a couple?Our wedding day is one of our favorites. Since we met through theatre, and theatre remains a big part of our life together, we wrote a 30-minute show we titled “The Marrying Kind.” It was a play of how we met, became friends, fell in love, and ultimately how we proposed to each other! We performed this to our friends and family at the wedding in lieu of a traditional ceremony. There were props, singing, dance numbers, guest appearances, a fight scene, and a puppet. 🎭
What would you do with $20,000?Besides the adult-slash-everyday sensibilities of saving money and paying off bills, we would put the lion’s share towards investing in future schooling and travel. We have always wanted to visit New York City — specifically to see a Broadway show on Broadway! It’s a bucket-list item for both of us. Since theatre is how we met, and remains a great love in our lives — individually and collectively — we’d love to visit the theatre center of the world.
