I (KayLa) wasn’t looking for Talia when I met her. I was healing from heartbreak and easing back into dating. We matched on a lesbian app I downloaded while recovering from the flu, fever-induced, but the best decision I’ve made. Her smile got me. I swiped right, we matched, and after a little hard-to-get, our first date was at Taco Bell. When our hands touched, it felt otherworldly. That night, I asked her to spend NYE with my family. She said yes. That was the start of forever.
What is your favorite memory you've shared as a couple?My favorite memories come from our “three-week trial marriage,” as Talia calls it. 😂 She came for a weekend and stayed for three weeks. We leaned into everyday life, and it was incredible. Even cleaning felt like an adventure. At the end of it, she proposed, right on my couch, wearing my sweatpants (she only packed for the weekend, remember?). I said yes without hesitation. It was the quickest, most certain decision I’ve ever made.
What would you do with $20,000?We are finally in a place where we can really set ourselves up for the success we’ve been working really hard towards. Being small business owners isn’t easy. But getting to do it with my wife makes all the difference.
