30 years together, 22 married- still in love, still holding hands, and still our favorite place is next to each other.

We met young- in high school- on the 4th of July. He kissed me and I literally saw fireworks- and somehow just knew we’d end up married. We were blessed with our amazing son and two beautiful daughters. Life has been full and happy. Chris was a firefighter (now retired), and I stayed home raising our family. Now our son is engaged to a wonderful girl, and they’ve given us the sweetest gift: our precious granddaughter.
What is your favorite memory you've shared as a couple?The moment we brought our son home and looked at each other like, “Holy cow, we’re parents.” We were young, terrified, and completely in love. That moment shifted everything- in the best way.
What would you do with $20,000?We’d put it toward creating more memories. We’d love to take an unforgettable family trip with our kids and granddaughter, a little home renovation we’ve dreamed about, and maybe a few more date nights. After 30 years together, we know that it’s the shared moments- not the stuff- that matter most.
